Welcome to Antioch Garagiste. Follow along with me as create wonderful wines here in Contra Costa County. After making wine at home for years, in 2018 I enrolled in the UC Davis Winemaking Certificate program. From the time I moved back to California from Japan in 2020, I have been sharpening my skills through hands-on winemaking – first literally in the closet of our Walnut Creek apartment, then in the garage of our Antioch home. Now I am the winemaker for McCauley Estate Vineyards/Vino Olivo. I plan to introduce Antioch Garagiste via Vino Olivo in 2025.
